Changes to Telehealth (Effective 1st November 2023)

Please be advised that Medicare is introducing new changes in regards to Telehealth from 1st November 2023. The process to Bulk Bill Telehealth services is going to be much complicated and a tedious process for the patients, doctors and practice due to the newly introduced administration needs.

Because of this, from 1st November 2023 All Telehealth services will be Private Billed at Starhill Medical Centre in order to make things easier and comfortable for our patients. As usual, patients with valid Medicare cards will receive their respective rebates. Thank you for your support and we focus very much to make things easier and comfortable for our patients.

Transfer of Records

TO Starhill Medical Centre FROM another General Practice

If you have previously attended another GP clinic for your healthcare, you might like to request that they send a copy of your medical records to us so that we have a more complete picture of your health information. This includes information such as your medications, past history and immunisation records. Most medical centre will charge you a fee for sending a copy of medical records.

FROM Starhill Medical Centre TO another General Practice:

If you would like to move your records from Starhill Medical Centre to a different GP clinic, you need to get the other medical centre to send us a request form and we will organise transfer.

In accordance with regulations, a request to transfer medical records must be signed by the patient giving us authority to transfer their records.

The request form should contain:

  • the name of the receiving practitioner or practice.
  • the details of the patient who is requesting the transfer record
  • the signed consent for the transfer or records by the patient requesting the transfer.

There is a fee for the transfer of medical records. Our Practice will send out an invoice to the patient prior to sending the medical records and once the fee has been paid we process the request at the most reasonable time possible. Contact our reception team for more details if required.
